Mark your calendars for November 5th, 2026, and get ready for an evening of bingo, community fun, and the chance to win fabulous purses and prizes—all while supporting a meaningful cause.
Proceeds from this beloved event will once again benefit the residents of Golden Leaves Living Center, helping fund programs and activities that enhance their quality of life.
More details, including ticket information and special ways to get involved, will be shared as the event gets closer—but for now, be sure to save the date!
💼 Interested in donating a purse or getting involved?
We’d love to hear from you! Reach out to Allie Johnson at 906-293-9130 or allie.johnson@hnjh.org.
We can’t wait to bring our community together again for this fun and impactful night!
Run for Joy 5K – Run or walk
The community laced up once again for the Run for Joy 5K and Walk, bringing together runners, walkers, families, and supporters for a day filled with energy and camaraderie. Proceeds from the event benefited the athletics programs at Tahquamenon Area Schools and Engadine Consolidated Schools, helping to provide opportunities for local student athletes.
We’re grateful to everyone who joined in—whether you hit the course, volunteered, or cheered from the sidelines. Your support made this year’s race a memorable celebration of health, teamwork, and community spirit.
Check back soon for information on next year’s event!
Monthly Support Group
At this time, we are no longer offering our Parkinson’s Support Group. However, if there is strong interest from the community, we would be happy to explore the possibility of bringing it back in the future.
If you or someone you know would be interested in participating, please call 906.293.9130 to let us know.
Thank you for your understanding—we remain committed to supporting the needs of our community.
Foundation Golf Outing
& Fundraiser
2025’s event raised over $30,000 towards our Health Career Scholarship Fund! This year, event proceeds will benefit our Health Careers Scholarship Program again and invest in the health careers of local students and future employees at Helen Newberry Joy Hospital. HNJH will match 100% of all funds raised from the event. In rural communities, it can be challenging to recruit a healthcare workforce. With our scholarship program, we are making an investment in the future of our facility and bringing young people back to the community.
We are hopeful you will consider supporting this meaningful event. Your participation in our fundraising efforts, through events such as the annual golf event, together with donations from other individuals, businesses, and organizations, helps to ensure that Helen Newberry Joy Hospital can sustain its services to the community for many years to come.
